I saw this movie last week on PhD students which is more a real day version of the PhD Comics strip. It was amusing, finally an ode to my life.
One word from the movie is still stuck in my mind- procrastination. I always knew what it meant. It was my friend's favourite word during her bar. The image that procrastination brought along was of me having curly fries and a coke, instead of studying.
(Note: I suffer from something I call the word image problem. Every word creates an image in my mind.)
However, I realized with this movie, that procrastination is more than that. It's this incessant urge to do everything else but work. It's to think of what the result is going to be instead of working to get to that result. It's this constant guilt bell ringing in your head, just that you can't do anything to stop the chime.
Do we suffer from it? I must admit, once in a while, I do dream of all the food I'd get to eat when I go back home over the winter break.
